Janet Kruskamp Wall Art

Janet Kruskamp is an American artist who was born in Oregon. She has been honored severally for her creative works since she was a little girl. At the age of eleven, she was already winning awards and getting painting jobs. While in high school, she got a scholarship to Chouinard Art Institute in Los Angeles, California, which is a prestigious art school. She graduated with honors from high school and also bagged Bank of America Achievement Award for Fine Arts. Her works are diverse and cover romantic and realist styles. Janet makes paintings of diverse subjects that mainly consist of ordinary objects and scenes. She ensures that all her artistic works reveal the underlying beauty of her subjects in a manner that endears them to viewers. Her works that stem from her study of the contemporary American scene have been exhibited in the US and France. They are exhibited in De Young Memorial Museum, San Franscisco, Long Beach Museum of Art, C.A., and Triton Museum of Art, Santa Clara.

Janet works in oil and sometimes egg tempera. She always creates works that trigger happiness and nostalgia since she captures real scenes that people pass by but rarely notice or appreciate. Besides working on her own artwork, she's also open commissioning by both individuals and companies. She ensures that her artwork delivers the right details by using proper light, color, and shadows. Janet has been acknowledged for her art that depict the American kitchens of the 1930s and 40s. On top of that she also paints cuddly teddy bears next to pillows, on green grass, and in a couple of other places. Although she initially preferred selling her originals directly without exploring prints, in 1993, one of her friends advised her try it out and she started reaching out to publishers. That’s when she found a whole new world to explore and she hasn’t looked back since.
