Niro Vasali Wall Art

Niro Vasali (Born in 1969) was born into a close knit family in Palermo, Italy. His spectacular artwork reflects the cultural background of his family. He was named after his grandfather who was his first role model and an avid soccer player. Vasali’s relentless passion and strength grew from both the athletic and aesthetic outlooks that shaped his youth. He was both athletic and artistic as a child, and says he can not remember a time when was wasn’t drawing, painting, or playing soccer, and being such active squared up against introspection and created a balance in his life. He decided to continue with his artistic endeavors when he moved to the U.S. where his passionate images and vibrant artwork have amassed a fan base internationally. The artist uses a wide range of materials including acrylics, oils, burlap, linen, canvas and paper to create his unique masterpieces that center on tension and contrast.

His artwork is collected and exhibited across the country and internationally. His art reflects the drama and strength that is so typical of his Italian heritage. He works in contrasts, pitting weak against strong, producing an anxiety at the center of each piece. His cultural background has a dominant influence in everything he does and creates, whether bold abstractions or geometric patterns, in oils or acrylics, on burlap, linen, canvas or paper. Over the years, Vasali has won a number of awards for his art. But he says his only desire for competition has been internal – he wants to compete with himself, always challenging his talent to expand and take on new creative efforts.
