Janet Pidoux Wall Art

Janet Pidoux was born in Penn, Buckinghamshire, where she still resides today. She has been painting now for more than 25 years. She started with watercolor miniatures of flowers and wildlife, but has finally settled on pastel as she loves the soft effect which can be achieved in this medium. Janet enjoys painting most subjects, her favorite being feline art which often features her own cats. Her objective is to capture their individual personalities of the subjects and give them a life of their own. In 1992 she was invited to become a member of the Society of Women Artists and 5 years later, a member of the Society of Feline Artists. Janet has also exhibited with the Society of Wildlife Artists and the Pastel Society, and both at the Mall Galleries in London. At the annual London exhibition for the Society of Feline Artists in 2006, she received the Llewellyn Alexander Award for her set of feline paintings.

In 2008, she was one of many celebrities and feline-loving artists to contribute a picture to a new book called “Essential Cattitude: An Insight Into the Feline World”, published by the Feline Advisory Bureau. Her work has been reproduced on many occasions for the print market and can be found in numerous public and private collections worldwide. More recently she has been working with merchandising companies to produce images for their products, including tea towels for McCaw Allan, tins for Elite Giftboxes, stationary and mugs for Padblocks, and various household items for Booth Design. She happily accepts commissions.
