Sydney Wright has loved art since his childhood. When his friends were off to the toy store his favorite hangout was the art supply shop around the corner. He would walk the aisles for several hours taking in the papers, colors, and smells of fresh paint. He says it was great. Wright was born in Philadelphia, but because his father was always being transferred he never stayed long in Philadelphia. His father was transferred many times as he was moving up the corporate ladder. His family had moved seven times across the USA by the time he was 9 years old. Finally, they settled in New Jersey and it has been his home ever since. Today, he works as a licensed designer and artist. He makes his home on the Jersey shore, overlooking the sea. He says it’s a great pleasure that he shares his art with his viewers as it comes from his heart.
Each of his collections has been graphically layered to make it easy to be used in product development. Wright studied design and illustration and earned a BFA from Tyler School of Art, Temple University. After graduation he landed his first job which was a designing job for Opera News magazine and then on to Ladies Home Journal where he was the art staff. He has won many awards as an artist and designer, and his art has found its way into many prestigious galleries around the globe. He’s thrilled to create art for the heart and home and hopes that his viewers enjoy as much as he does.
