Pilsudski, owned by Lord Weinstock and trained by Michael Stoute, was the exceptional flat horse of the 1996-7 season. Amongst other victories, he ran second in the Arc de Triomphe and won the Breeders Cup, collecting prize money of #2,829,087 in the process.
