Robert Ginder (Born on 1948) grew up in Alamosa, Colorado. He’s a veteran artist who’s respected for combining his unique artistic style and his subject to express his desired theme. Ginder lived in New York before moving to California for his studies and later went back to New York where he resides to date. He creates diverse artistic works that are used in prints and posters while some are sold as original paintings.
Ginder stays, “In all my paintings, there is an element of age, and a use of early painting styles to create a venerable artifact in order to elicit a respect for a subject matter that ordinarily we would see as mundane and that we can re-examine the everyday in a different light.”
He has won two grants including New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship, New York, in 1992 and in 1991. Ginder also got Artist Magazine “Dream Studio” First Prize. He has done many solo exhibitions in diverse platforms including Lora Schlesinger Gallery, Santa Monica, CA in 2015; O.K. Harris Works of Art, New York, NY twice in 2003 and 2011. Ginder also did many group exhibitions at Gold, Belvedere Castle & Museum, Vienna Austria in 2012 and National Contemporary Realism, M.A. Doran Gallery, Tulsa, Oklahoma, in 2010.
