Ken Hildrew Wall Art

Born in London Ken Hildrew (Born in 1934) has been a professional artist for more than fifteen years. His style and technique are greatly influenced by Whistler, Seago and Turner. He has sold his wonderful atmospheric paintings to numerous corporate collections including Marks and Spencer, Shell Oil, Virgin Atlantic, Orient Express, and Hilton Hotel, among others. He studied art at the Woolwich School of Art, and before he decided to work as a full time painter, he worked in TV and advertising. He’s now a full time painter serving an ever growing number of clients both in the US and abroad. Over the years, his free interpretation of landscapes has gained him an international acclaim. Hildrew regularly exhibits at major shows including the Royal Watercolor Society, the Royal Institute of Watercolor Painters, and the Laing Annual Landscape Exhibitions, amongst others.

The artist is not so much concerned with a beautiful view than he’s concerned with atmosphere. He wants the viewers to feel as though they have visited the scenes that he paints. The viewers feel his landscapes rather than view them; sometimes mysterious and peaceful, sometimes a brief electrifying interaction of air, land and light. He was the winner in the "Watercolors of the North" competition. Hildrew now lives and works in the West Country close to Exmoor, England, and is represented in galleries in Europe, the UK and America. His art come in different finishing options to satisfy the varying needs of his clients that are spread all over the world.
