Constance Lael Wall Art

Artist Constance Lael grew up in Troutman, a small town in North Carolina. Through her posters, art, and prints, she hopes to convey the splendor of simple everyday things such as the love of one another and the sparkle in a child’s eye. Constance says that there’s no greater joy than creating something beautiful. “Upon observation, an emotion is touched deep within the soul that enables us to cherish life in a more intricately beautiful way,” she says. Constance feels God has given her the ability to see with vision and the talent, skill and perseverance to communicate that beauty in prints, art, and posters. She was raised with a strong sense of community and church. Constance attributes her success to her parents encouraging her artistic ability.

Her mother encouraged her with private art lessons throughout her childhood. “My mother told me I always had a crayon or a pencil in my hand as far back as she could remember,” Constance adds. After high school, she continued to study art in Statesville, North Carolina at Mitchell College and at Queens College where she received a Bachelor’s in Fine Art. She draws her inspiration from the natural beauty of the world, especially of North Carolina. For example, flowers are one of her favorite subjects because of their variety and extraordinary beauty. Constance uses colored pencil in combination with mixed media to achieve the control and detail necessary for her detailed flowers in her prints, art, and posters. Today, she resides with her two children in Statesville, North Carolina.
