Francois Fressinier Wall Art

Francois Fressinier (Born 1968) was born in Cognac, France. His father had great love for the Old Masters and guided him into the creation and exploration of symbolic and figurative art. Fressinier joined Ecole Brassartin Tours where he studied fine art. His style of painting has been described as a modern amalgam of Romanticism, Classic Renaissance and Neo-Classical. Fressinier art reveal the romantic, ethereal presence of sensuous women. The women and men in his world are filled with beauty and grace; painted in their best light. Both of Fressinier’s parents were professional portrait photographers and he attributes much of his passion for the human figure to them. He gives his father credit for teaching him "not to paint, but to see." Fressinier received strong academic training in art from his father, and his unique sight has evolved into a personal style that is sensitive, fluid, and classical in nature.

There’s much evidence in his work that his art has been greatly influenced by Masters of the Renaissance including artists such as da Vinci, Titian. In many of his paintings he combines ideas that he takes from European history, his heritage, and landscape. The mastery of shadow and light and delicate economy of his line sets his art apart. Fressinier says that his objective as an artist is to render classical subjects into the present as homage to the Old Masters. The emotion that this brings to him is what he wishes to convey on canvas. His art is in great demand that’s why many collectors stock and price them highly.
