Patrice Procopio Wall Art

Patrice Procopio has spent the greater part of her life in pursuing wildflowers and garden flowers across the Midwest. Since she was born in western Iowa on a small family farm, the tending and observation of the earth have been an essential part of her life. She’s drawn to the outdoors. She says this is where inspiration, solitude, and peace come into her life. Whether it is the vibrant colors observed in the lush palette of nature or the colorful textiles from her mother's sewing machine, she’s always been fascinated by color. Central to her paintings is the play of light which she uses to transform all that she paints into a beautiful prism of color. She obtained her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1977from Drake University. She majored in education, art history, and painting. She received her Masters Degree in painting in 1978 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Professionally, she has an extensive show exhibition record in Wisconsin and New England. Her work is exhibited in many collections. Currently, she resides in Door County and in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she goes for inspiration. Teaching has always been one of her first loves and she’s taught art history, painting and drawing to both adults and children. She has also spent some of her time coordinating art events for the public and running galleries. Her art is in the collections of Biltmore Investment Bank; Sheboygan, Acuity; Wisconsin Kohler, Wisconsin and First Star Bank; Milwaukee, Wisconsin. There are also portrait works in her personal collections, Original oils in her personal collections, and Ink architectural drawings in her personal collections.
