Alan Hopfensperger Wall Art

As a young boy, Alan Hopfensperger lived in Dayton, Ohio and has very strong memories of living there between the ages of 3 and 5. Born in Columbus, Ohio, Hopfensperger father moved the family 5 times by the time he was 6. His father worked with a home building company that was still new so they would send him to the new territories. The last move was to Cincinnati after Hopfensperger had just turned 6 years old. However, his heart was still in Dayton, so it was rather traumatic for him. He grew at a time when children safely and freely roamed. Out of 9 children, Hopfensperger was the only one who became an artist. Art revealed itself early on to him, and he could not get enough of any activity or project, or any art or craft kit.

He would spend hours on some invented project to fill the free times. During his most recent 10 years of being an independent artist, he pursued art licensing and worked with a few design clients. It was during this time that he designed packaging graphics for Wine Country Gift Baskets, the largest manufacturer of gift baskets in California. The company takes products and repackages them to fit within the aesthetics of the basket collections. The Director of Design credited Hopfensperger with helping the company to stay ahead of the competition. It was not a simple task since it took a special talent to coordinate designs that fit within a grouping of products.
