Melissa Babcock Saylor Art Prints
Melissa Babcock Saylor's light, cheerful watercolors perfectly match her personality. She attended Oregon College of Art, worked in advertising, and was the editorial artist for one of Oregon's largest newspapers, The Statement Journal. Being family oriented, she started Melissa's Art, a greeting card company, in 1992 so she could work at home. Melissa lives in an historic home in Albany, Oregon with her husband Steve and her children Todd and Meg.
"Painting is a joy to me. I paint the many things that surround me, the gardens, my historic neighborhood and the beautiful pacific Northwest. To say that I love my hometown and family is putting it mildly. In my yard, which my daughter named the Friendship Garden, are many of the flowers that I remember blooming in my grandmother's garden. To have the opportunity to paint as well as do all the other things I love, is more than I ever dreamed. I hope that my joy will bring pleasure to others as well." -- Melissa Babcock Saylor
