Sarah Waldron Art Prints

Sarah Waldron combines painterly oils on historical fresco. Educated as an illustrator at the San Francisco Academy of Art, she has been internationally successful as both a commercial and gallery artist. Originally from Seattle, she lives in Sea Ranch on the northern California coast with her husband Carl and "too many pets". "For me, it's always been about depicting the beauty of plain or ordinary subject matter. I build volume by combining the tactile qualities of surface with rich color, dramatic shadow and brush strokes that caress the form of the object. I have been lucky enough to travel extensively, so I have collected inspiration from many sources - Greek and Russian icons and frescos to German Expressionism and Spanish Impressionism. Living as close to nature as I do now, has provided new inspiration. My current work has become deeper in color and tone. I'd like to think this is a reflection of life experience and maturing passion, similar to well earned wrinkles." -- Sarah Waldron
