Elizabeth Brownd has loved art for as long as she can remember. Hers is something that came naturally because since a young age she liked to do things using her hands and on her own. Her talent in the arts was noticed early enough and she got a lot of encouragement and support. Elizabeth is now a well known artist whose designs appear on scrapbook themes, wallpaper, calendars, decorative accessories, and on books. The quality of her designs reflect the many years she has been collecting vintage and antique prints, newspapers, vintage fabrics, letters and books. As the artist creates her collages, she paints by hand the details between layers of pressed leaves and flowers. She says that the fun part of her work is collecting hundreds of amazing pieces of antiquity. However, she adds that the overflowing cupboards and drawers where she stores the collection get a bit scary.
A partial list of her clients include Creative Converting, Heath Giftco Inc., Kaufman Marion, Gibson Robert, Chesapeake C.R., Joann's Fabric, Perfect Timings Inc., Dimensions Antioch, Current Inc., Mohawk Homes, Certified Int., Lindy Bowman Co., Penguin K & Company, Walmart Viking, Michaels Dover Publications, Leanin' Tree , McSteven's Scholastic, Hobby Lobby Barton Cotton, Franco Highland Graphics, among others. She attempts to create energy in her pieces through splatter, textures or color. She loves working with color and textures because they allow her to create designs with bold colors and intricate in detail. She doesn’t want to be constricted by rules, but she’s able to try everything and anything and learn from her own successes and failures.
